Before we pray, let’s hear God’s Word this morning.

If you are a parent, guardian, or grandparent, this is for you. Raising children in today’s world is not easy. There are so many influences, pressures, and voices trying to shape the next generation—but before you feel overwhelmed, remember this powerful truth:

📌 God loves your children even more than you do.

They are not accidents. They are not mistakes. They are not forgotten.

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him.”
—Psalm 127:3

Your children were entrusted to you by God. And because He gave them purpose, He will also protect, guide, and provide for them.

Today, we are praying a Psalm 91 covering over every child represented here.

Why Pray Psalm 91 Over Your Children?

Psalm 91 is a shield, a covering, a promise of protection that reaches into places you cannot go yourself. You can’t be with your children every second—but God can.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
—Psalm 91:1

When you pray Psalm 91, you are declaring:

• Safety in their comings and goings
• Protection at school, home, and everywhere
• Wisdom in their choices and friendships
• Peace over their hearts and minds

The enemy fears praying parents, because a praying parent is a powerful parent.

Declarations to Speak Over Your Children

Speak these out loud:

• My children belong to the Lord.
• They are covered by the blood of Jesus.
• No weapon formed against them will prosper.
• They will grow in wisdom, stature, and favor.
• Angels watch over them day and night.
• God’s plans for them are good, full of hope and purpose.

Your words matter. What you speak over your children shapes their future.

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”
—Isaiah 54:13

A Prayer of Protection & Blessing for Our Children

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of children.
We lift every son, every daughter, and every grandchild before You.

Cover them under the shadow of the Almighty.
Protect them at home, at school, in every place their feet walk.
We plead the blood of Jesus over their lives.
No harm, no sickness, no confusion, no fear, and no plan of the enemy will stand.

Give them wisdom.
Surround them with godly friends.
Remove harmful influences.
Let their hearts be sensitive to Your voice.

Strengthen their bodies, renew their minds, and guard their spirits.
Let them rise with confidence, courage, and peace.
Lead them into Your perfect will and divine purpose.

We declare generational curses broken.
We declare blessing, protection, and favor.
We declare that our children will fulfill their God-given destiny.
